Lwala Community Alliance
Lwala works to improve access to and utilization of essential health services for women and girls in Kenya. They create a future where Kenya’s health system is gender-equitable and responsive to the needs of women and girls. This means that:
- Every woman and girl have access to high-quality health services at the community and facility levels.
- Women who provide essential health care are valued and compensated.
- Communities are decision-makers in their own health care, with women equally represented in community accountability mechanisms.
- Health facilities are equipped with the training and tools to provide high-quality care to women and girls, rebuilding trust in the health system.
- Health systems and policies are designed with leadership and input from women and girls.
